Owner Biography:

Clark K. Patterson is a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Missouri with over 25 years’ experience specializing in technical engineering and operations management.  Clark Graduated Dean’s List from the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.  Upon graduation, he served five years active duty as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.  Following his military career, Clark built a solid career with over fifteen years’ work in the sterile manufacturing pharmaceutical industry. 

Clark’s expertise in facility design, construction, qualification, operation, and maintenance led to the foundation of LotterBhanson, LLC in 2019.  In addition to providing expert level support to pharmaceutical manufacturers, Clark’s company goals include participation in industry leading think-tanks such as the American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) Bio-Processing Equipment Code Committee and International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE).  Through the course of his career, Clark has learned what each guidance organization provides to industry from legal expectations to best practices; he leverages this knowledge to assist clients in cost effective implementation of programs and systems which meet current and future expectations of regulatory agencies.  Additionally, participation in these voluntary organizations, places Clark at the forefront in development for standard specifications & practices used for design, construction, and procurement within the pharmaceutical sector.

  • Since October 2019, Clark has attended ASME-BPE committee meetings while working towards sub-committee membership through active participation in task-groups supporting the ‘Polymeric Materials’ and ‘Surface Finish’ sub-committees. 
  • Since November 2019 Clark has worked as an active team member for Process Industry Practices (PIP) ‘Hygienic Process Function Team’.  In this capacity, he works with leading food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industry experts from all over the world to develop and publish practices (guidance documents and specifications) that can be used to procure and fabricate equipment and systems for use in the regulated industry.
  • Entering his 7th year as a consultant, Clark is looking to take on a larger leadership role within the American Society of Mechanical Engineers – Bioprocessing Committee.
  • Clark currently resides in the suburbs of St. Louis, MO with his wife of over 23 years, Erin, and their three children, Charlotte (15), Hudson (12), and Siobhan (8) – for whom the company is named.

2012: Licensed as a Professional Engineer in the state of Missouri – MO Division of Professional Registration
